Driving Factor in Project Based learning: Voice & Choice

 

Presentation for class:

4th 6 Weeks- Movement

Students will be introduced to the ideation behind movement, and how execution of the right movement, used consistently, can tell a story without having to say a word. 

TEKS Standard:

(2) Creative expression: performance. The student interprets characters using the voice and body expressively and creates dramatizations. The student is expected to:

(A) Model safe, appropriate techniques to allow for physical, vocal, and emotional expression;

(E) Employ physical techniques consistently to express thoughts, feelings, and actions non-verbally;

6th 6 Weeks-

Technical theatre

Understanding of Technical theatre including use and purpose of Makeup, Setting, Properties, Lighting and Costuming as well as the Theatrical chain of command. 

Presentations for class:

Trashin Fashion- Costume Construction

Students understanding of theatrical technical elements as well as an in depth, hands on course in creating a collaborative look out of found materials. Students were able to compliment a wearable look with a presentation on an assigned time era that was presented to the class. Once all groups presented we were introduced to major time areas in costuming/ fashion such as Elizabethan, Post Apocalyptic, Greek and Futuristic.
